Soccer Club

Welcome to the Rivers Baptist Church Soccer Club! We’re a family-orientated, north Brisbane soccer club that provides affordable sport for all ages. We have teams from U6 right up to senior mens and womens teams. We play in competitions run by Queensland Christian Soccer Association, Baptist Football Queensland and the Over 35s Commercial League.

Registration fees are $200 and all new players are given a free pair of playing socks and shorts. Jerseys are borrowed by all the players and returned at the end of the season. If you’re registering new players, we will need to see their birth certificate, passport or licence to verify their age.

We take FairPlay vouchers for players under 18  (the new name for the Get Started voucher) but you must bring them down to sign on. They will cover the first $150 of your registration. If you are still waiting for a voucher, you will need to make full payment and we will refund you once the voucher has arrived. To see if you’re eligible, visit https://www.qld.gov.au/recreation/sports/funding/fairplay/apply. The round opens 22 January; act fast as they often run out.

Registration is a two-part process:

1. Register online to update data.
(a) Juniors (U6s up to U18s): Existing players should have received an email with a link. New players can use https://qcsarbcsc.myclubmate.com.au/mydetails/ and click Register a new player.
(b) Seniors (men & women): Use https://docs.google.com/…/1FAIpQLSci8DnKlOVVLmn85…/viewform…

2. Come in on one of our sign-on days and organise payment, ID photos (where necessary) and uniform sizing. Sign-on is on Friday 31 January 6-9pm and Saturday 1 February 8am-4pm, Rivers Baptist Church, 90 Francis Road, Lawnton. One weekend only this year.

BOTH parts (online and coming in) are needed to register. Simply registering online will not register you as a player. If you have problems, just email me at riversbaptistsoccer@gmail.com. We will have computers available on the day but the earlier you register online the easier it is to form up our teams.

Rep soccer – North Zone

Our club is part of the North Zone, the representative zone for the QCSA. Players from U10 to seniors are invited to trial in February for teams to play in the State Titles being held on the Sunshine Coast over the May long weekend in 2020. All players must register to trial at northzonesoccer.com.

About our club

We train our teams in two locations: Bray Park SHS and John Oxley Reserve in Murrumba Downs. Training is usually Wednesday afternoons for juniors and Wednesday nights for seniors. Training starts around March, with games starting in April and going until mid-August. Successful teams will have finals through til mid-September.

Junior teams play Saturday mornings from 8am to 1pm (younger teams play earlier, older teams play later) and senior teams (men and women) usually play Saturday afternoons. We also have one Friday night over 40s mens team and are looking at putting together a new Friday night over 30s womens team.

U6, U7, U8, U9 and U10 play on the north side of Brisbane. Half the games are played at ‘home’, John Oxley Reserve. Half the games are ‘away’ played either at John Oxley (we share the fields with another club) or Bridgeman Downs.

U11, U12, U13, U14, U15/16 (boys and girls) and U17/18 (boys) play an across-Brisbane competition. Again, half the games are played at home, which is John Oxley Reserve for all teams, and half will be ‘away’ games played at various south/west locations.

Seniors play northside locations either Saturday afternoons or Friday nights.
