Keeping a Kingdom Perspective in Challenging Times (Sunday 5 April)

Welcome! Thanks for being together today and thanks for your feedback from last Sunday. It’s our intention to keep us connected with God and each other so we are ready to demonstrate God’s love as we emerge from COVID-19.

Welcome especially if you are new to this online gathering. We’re are so glad you are with us! Please connect with us!

Please follow the outline knowing that we are all doing this together!

I’ve asked our worship team to suggest and introduce songs for our services.

Amy Hunter: We have been singing ‘My Lighthouse’ by Rend collective a lot in our house. It’s message is very poignant at this time and I love hearing the kids belting out ‘you are the peace in my troubled sea’. It fits really nicely with Philippians 4: 6-7 – a verse I need to remind myself of often:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

My Lighthouse

Heavenly Father, we set our minds and hearts on your peace. On the fullness and the flourishing you desire for us and your world. We confess that it is difficult for us to see this in our present circumstances but help us to see that beyond our understanding is your peace. Please reveal yourself to us as we gather in your name. Amen

Kidz Biz

Here’s our Kidz Biz at home experience for this week. Our children are in the midst of their Easter series so you’re joining us for Week 3 out of a 3-week series. Use this as a guide for adults and children to be engaging with the Bible together. Maybe after you do this together, you could have some morning tea, then send the kids off to play while you listen to Stewart’s sermon. Enjoy Kidz Biz at home and make sure you send us your photos!

This song has become one of our anthems! It enables us to declare that in the midst of our present situation we are a child of God.
