Song – What a Beautiful Name

Take time this morning to pray words of admiration to our Mighty Creator. Take time to acknowledge God’s creative genius, to give thanks for the ways that creation bears testimony to his love and generosity.

Rivers Update

We want to thank those who have continued to give generously and sacrificially throughout recent weeks. You can use the button below to set up a regular offering as part of our church.

Kidz Biz

Families and children, it’s time for you to spend some time together learning about Daniel: The Way of the Exiles by watching the following video and downloading and using the Kidz Biz at Home sheet:

Song – Broken Vessels

Romans 6:23 reminds us of the beauty of God’s Grace.

For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

Song – Like an Avalanche

Time of Prayer

Take some time to bring the needs of our community before God who is great, good, glorious and gracious.  Some prayer points from recent weeks:

  • Pray for those who have had surgery recently (details of these have been included in our recent update emails)
  • For those struggling with social isolation and the impact of restrictions – particularly those in our community who haven’t been able to access much needed therapy
  • The Rivers Soccer committee working together to get our kids (and adults too) playing soccer again whilst navigating all the guidelines to keep everyone safe
  • Pray for continued wisdom for our Church Leadership and Board as they lead us to respond as a community during the challenging and constantly changing times
  • Pray that adversity and challenge will continue to draw us closer to each other and to God in this season

Connect More about Jesus Respond

“There are millions of people in our country (USA) who call themselves Christians because they believe the Christian life is about admiring Christ’s example, not realising it is a call to follow it.”
– Francis Chan.

Is there a temptation to simply admire Jesus’ teaching on forgiveness rather than taking it literally?

Michael talked about imagining a community where genuine forgiveness was part of the culture. What images come to mind when you think of a community like this?

Is there any debts that you need to forgive?  What does this look like for you?

Song – Good Good Father

  • Pray for God’s Kingdom to become a reality amongst our neighbours. What would it look like in the different areas of our Neighbourhood for the King to get what He wants?
  • Pray for our essential workers (teachers, healthcare workers, chaplains, grocery workers, truck drivers, police officers, etc).
  • The streets around the church have been on the hearts of a number in our church recently, pray specifically for those people in our local area.  Encircle is one of our local prayer places and is one of the first places a person or family may go when they have a need or issue in their life.  Encircle responds to families in need providing information and support regarding homelessness, counselling services, family support and connections to churches in our neighbourhood who provide emergency food parcels.
  • What would it look like if we prayed “your kingdom come” for the people who come into contact with Encircle?

Thanks for being together today!

And to finish:

Finally, brothers and sisters, be joyful! Work to make things right with one another. Help one another and agree with one another. Live in peace. And the God who gives love and peace will be with you.
2 Corinthians 13:11
